Privacy Policy

Effective 19 July 2026

Short version

The Hansard has no account system and no advertising. Parliamentary data ships bundled for offline use and refreshes from official Parliament sources when online. Optional notifications use Apple frameworks. Purchases are handled by Apple.

Who we are

The Hansard is an iOS app published by Henceforth Bitcoin Limited (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how the app handles information.

Data we collect

We do not create user accounts. We do not sell personal data. We do not run advertising networks or third-party analytics SDKs inside the app.

Data on your device

Bundled parliamentary snapshots, cached refreshes, preferences, and any members you choose to follow for notifications are stored on your device. Delete the app to remove that local data.

Network services

When online, the app may refresh against official UK Parliament data services so rosters, votes, and related records stay current. Those requests are for public parliamentary data, not for building an advertising profile.

Notifications

Optional per-member notifications use Apple notification frameworks. You can revoke notification permission in iOS Settings at any time.

Purchases (Apple StoreKit)

The Hansard is sold through the App Store as a one-time purchase. Apple processes payment via StoreKit. We never receive or store your payment card details.

Purchases are covered by Apple's standard Terms of Use (EULA).

Children

The app is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
